Why Each Team Says Yes

IND: The Pacers, as of today, have announced the start of their rebuild and put one of Turner/Sabonis on the block. This trade nets them a young scoring guard in Anfernee Simons, who could work well in a backcourt with Duarte, a first round pick, always valuable for a rebuilding team, and an expiring Jusuf Nurkic, who they can pair with Sabonis the rest of the year to see if the two work together, if not they can easily save the $ and let him walk in FA

PHI: The Sixers most likely want the Ben Simmons situation to end sooner rather than later and this trade nets them a handsome return. McCollum is the type of primary shot creater the Sixers need from outside, Covington can come in and bolster the defense with his elite helping ability, and Little will be an incredibly useful multi tool as a plus defender who can run the 2 through 4. Two first rounders give them the assets to potentially attach to Tobias Harris in a trade for another star to make a serious title push.

POR: The Blazers are the focal point of this trade as they appear willing to make big moves to surround Dame with good pieces. They're giving up a lot, including both their young assets and 3 firsts, but in return they suddenly have one of the best starting lineups in the league with Lillard-Powell-Simmons-Nance-Turner. Thybulle and Craig will only help bolster their newfound defensive identity off the bench. Not to mention this trade moves Portland under the luxury tax, giving them a financial incentive as well. It's a risk, but one the Blazers may finally be willing to take.
