Why the Pels do it: Pels get off of Zion because he can't get healthy and they need to switch their direction away from building around him. They also trade B.I so they can give Trey Murphy III a starting spot. Dejounte Murray and C.J can give lobs to Claxton and they also get a floor spacing element in Vucevic. Why the Nets do it: The Nets trade Shroder to a contender. They get worse at tanking, because they trade other veterans and Zion doesn't drive winning since he is injured. They get rotation pieces and tradable assets.

Why the Bulls do it: They do it for the first rounder. They get a good return for Vucevic and get off of veterans. They can resign Ingram then flip him for assets or let him walk.
