Since this is mostly about the Blazers, I'll do a little paragraph for the rest of the teams then explain all of the moves.

HAWKS: Gain cap flexibility. Bogdanvocih, Trae, Hunter, Huerter Collins and Capela all take priority over Reddish which is why he is very available. Getting a future asset in a first and an additional second, clearing out cap space, having a roster slot available and the future financial flexibility saving them from having to match an offer sheet would probably be worth it for them.

MAVS: Add secondary ball handler/scorer behind Luka. For the Mavs, there are expensvive option like Beal, however realistically they could afford this. CJ gives them help and Luka support for carrying the offensive load.

PACERS: They need D, and Brooks gives it to then. He is also younger & on contract for an extra year. They also add Simons and a second to sweeten the deal.

GRIZZLIES: They add 2 projects, a first and a second and filler (Powell) for Tyus Jones and Brooks. It's a pretty solid deal and gives them cap flexibility for when Morant, Clarke, Tilman, Bane and the rest of their young core are free agents.

BLAZERS:

The Blazers had a few problems.

1: Too small. They have Dame, CJ and Powell as their starting 1-3. Thats 3 undersized players, 2 of whom play no D. Powell is a good defender, however, he should be a 2 guard not a small forward. Off the bench they have Simons which doesn't help their D.

2: No real good defenders. Nukic was good, Powell good, Covington good but besides that, nothing really to compensate for that. In this trade they'd be getting Kleber who is good, losing McCullom and Simons which helps their D, and adding the Reddish

3: Bench depth. They'd be gaining 5 rotational players (maybe 4.5 the half being Burke) and losing 2 (maybe 1.5 with little being the half) of rotational players. There bench would be much better.

For what they'd be giving, it's Simons, Little, McCullom and a first and 3 seconds. Although it's kinda a lot, they need all of these players, Tyus Jones can be their backup point guard, Reddish a good defender, Kleber their backup 5, Warren their wing scorer. This team would just be a good deal better that it'd be worth it to give up all of that.
