This is pretty much 3 different trades put into one off-season plan for the Cavs. If Mitchell signs extension garland could be out, here’s how they stay competitive

I also do realize they’ll probably move off of Jarrett too but I wanted to keep this more of a just for garland concept.

TRADE 1: Garland for Keldon, Tre, Devonte, 8 and a future 1st

Cavs: move on from garland to get a ton of new trade assets

Spurs: get the much desired franchise guard with wemby, unlocks both garland and wemby, aim for a play in spot now.

Draft Stephon Castle at 4.

Trade 2: Cavs flip Keldon, Devonte, 8, 20, and Georges Niang for Mikal Bridges and Dennis Schroder

Cavs: can stay competitive by picking up some extra playmaking in Mikal and Schroder, still maintaining some more defense with Mikal, allows Mikal to go back to natural position. Also picks up playmaking to replace Garland, Mikal is a decent playmaker and Schroder will provide playmaking off the bench

Nets: can start to rebuild now with a solid lottery pick, Mikal hasn’t been good and Schroder is an expiring who won’t resign, they can retool their roster even more while picking up some rebuilding assets

Nets draft Rob Dillingham at 8 and Tyler Smith at 20

Trade 3: Caruso and a 2029 2nd for Tre Jones and a spurs 1st

Bulls: caruso is expiring, picking up another very good playmaker and true 1 which they’ve been lacking, plus helps the rebuild with adding another first

Cavs: get a perfect off ball partner and POA defender in caruso (yes Mitchell is improved there but caruso is still clearly better). Caruso is expiring and they’ll only do this if they truly think he resins but Tre jones is also expiring.

SF: Mikal

PF: Mobley

C: Allen

Bench: Schroder, CPJ, Okoro, Levert, Dean Wade, Damian Jones
