Why for the Bulls? They need to get some assets for the players they have unless they want to be in purgatory forever. Here they get an unprotected 1st and 2 2nds for Caruso. They also get a look at both Lyles and Duarte who are both young-ish and could possibly be flipped down the road as both have a year after this one

Why for the Mavs? They add one of if not the best point of attack defenders in the game who is also capable of guarding bigger players efficiently. Losing a pick hurts but Caruso, while smaller, is an upgrade over Grant Williams

Why for the Kings? They get a solid defender off the bench who can spell both Murray and Barnes and allow for line-up flexibility
