The Nets are in an odd position. They are 10th in the East as of the making of this post and are on a 2-8 slide. Reports state that they want to compete by making aggressive trades to build around the pieces they have like Bridges, but I don't think that is the best path for them. Instead, this trade sees them bring in Porter Jr as the headliner, Grimes and Jovic as additional prospects, a bunch of cap space for this offseason with the expiring contracts of Lowry and Fournier, and 5 first-rounders including two this year where they had no picks at all. This will help accelerate a rebuild around Claxton, Thomas, Porter Jr, and all of the team's other young talent.

The Knicks go all in here by getting Bridges and form an incredible starting lineup of Brunson, Bridges, Anunoby, Randle, and currently Hartenstein with McBride, DiVincenzo, Hart, and Achiuwa off the bench, with the potential for Robinson to come back by the playoffs. As a Knicks fan, this rotation would be a dream and give us an incredible chance at a championship, and well worth the overpay to get the Nets to sell.

For Miami, they bring in Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith, two of the best role players in the NBA and would be extremely impactful in their rotation. They give up a nearly 38-year-old Lowry, Jovic who has not found as much success as Jaquez, and a future first to do it, but overall leaves them poised for yet another playoff run.

Finally for Denver, as much as Porter Jr has been a key part of this team, bringing in Johnson, O'Neal, and what will most likely be a high second-rounder will overall make this team stronger and allow them to push for another chip. This is the part of the trade I am not fully sold on though, and could easily cut them out.

Overall, I think blowing it up is the best path forward for Brooklyn, and I think this is a good way to go about it for all teams involved. What would you change? Let me know your thoughts!
