There are 2 parts to consider here separately (if the MN-NYK trade goes thru): Harris for Randle, and the picks.
Harris may be a better fit for the Wolves as he’s a better 3pt shooter than JR. If you believe NAZ is capable of playing more minutes this year as a stretch 4-5, Harris’ age may be less of an issue. Randle is 2 yr younger, a better rebounder and a more physical player, but may clog the lane playing with Rudy. His style and toughness would benefit a young Pistons team. Also to consider: which player would be the better playoff value?
As for the picks, that 2025 FRP from NYK via DET will probably not be usable for the Wolves this year because it’s protected 1-13. It should be much more valuable for DET, especially since they have no FRP in 2025. Trading that pick for 2 future ones seems sensible to me. What do you think?
