They sign Bagley to a cheap deal with no risk and high reward (if he finally develops). Thompson has proven himself to be a quality between after his time with the Celtics, and so is Harkless (he’s started for the Kings this year). A favorable swap and a highly-protected pick makes the deal fair while sweetening it.

Luka is the franchise, the Porzingis experiment didn’t work. But, placing Hield and THJ around Luka is a good start for Jason Kidd.
