This only happens if the Rockets are content with two young risky players (Bagley and Kuzma), #22 this year, and are 2025 protected first, and if the Pistons are ok with #9 this year, a possibly high 2022 second rounder, a 2023 1st, and a salary dump. If both those teams accept those returns, then the Kings have a potentially dangerous playoff team next year: starting lineup of Fox, Halliburton, Grant, Barnes and Wood, with a bench of Wright, Davis, Metu, and Plumlee. If that team clicks, that team makes the playoffs.
