This would be a favorite trade of mine as I love Bam Adebayo and he would easily be the best center the Knicks have had since Ewing. The Knicks also seem committed to Randle at the moment and since it doesn't seem like RJ, Grimes or Barrett would go anywhere, the center position is where I target the upgrade at. The Knicks have been a very weird team this year and if everyone starts clicking, this could be an interesting team (I'm not sure this is a contending team but it would make for some tough matchups). Quick note that the trade needs to take place after January 15th due to Mitch's extension. So without further ado, here's the team by team rationale:

Knicks: I would love not to give up 3 unprotected FRPs (plus 2 protected ones) but I highly doubt the Heat move on from Bam for any less. Bam is a force on the offensive and defensive ends and also wouldn't clog the lane like Mitch does. He always plays hard and this team would have a lot of firepower in the starting lineup. A Brunson, Grimes, RJ, Randle and Bam lineup is one with quality defense and each player has been having solid offensive years so they would be hard to matchup to defensively too. Plus, the sheer rebounding abilities of RJ, Randle and Bam would be scary. The Knicks get Terance Mann and Amir Coffey to make up depth (Mann is an interesting addition as well) and the prospect at PF in Jovic who could provide depth behind Randle. It's a lot of picks but it could work out and they'd still have picks in the 2023 and 2025 drafts along with the rest of their picks from 2026 on if they needed another star.

Heat: The hardest part of this would be moving on from Bam. But this team has some rough contracts in Lowry and Robinson and almost no draft picks left. This would restock the picks while giving them some quality young players who could contribute right away (and the Heat are one of the best teams for developing talent). IQ could become their starting PG and as his recent run at starting PG shows, he has the playmaking chops and can heat up when necessary. Obi could even start at the 4 once he's healthy and wouldn't take touches from IQ, Herro and Butler. Mitch gives them a solid young center who can be a defensive anchor and is on a very team friendly descending contract. Finally they can a flier on Reddish who at least has potential to be great and at worst fills up their bench.

Clippers: The Clippers are also a weird team because they're clearly looking at the playoffs and only putting the minimum effort necessary during the regular season so they can preserve the health of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. Still, the lack of depth at the center position could end up being their undoing. They ironically get Hartenstein back who is on a fairly inexpensive deal and is still young. They lose of a couple of bench players in Mann and Coffey but both are relatively expendable as they have depth at those positions. The second rounders could be reduced to 1 or even done away with altogether.
