In this offseason, the Lakers need to acquire shooters and more veteran TALENT (not locker room leadership, we have enough, focus on TALENT) and they bring back their own veterans along with bringing in Blake Griffin, Facundo Campazzo, and Rajon Rondo. They also bring in some slightly younger players in Dennis Schroder on a one year prove-it contract as a sixth man, Buddy Hield to be a solid shooter, and giving Sexton the bag he wants. I feel that giving up both of the picks is fair here as we get back two great perimeter scorers that are not particularly old which is exactly what the Lakers need. The Cavs do the deal because they get the 2027 pick with very slight protection meaning that it could be great. They also get the 2029 pick with more protection as compensation for taking on the Westbrook contract. The Pacers get three players who are role players at best in their current situations but the Pacers could develop them more and get either a solid future player or flip them for more picks, OKC style.
