WHY DALLAS DO IT:

We finally get the good defender we need for just picks.

WHY SUNS DO IT:

Trade all their seconds, but the bench is now decent

Bench: DSJ, Gordon, Walker, Bullock, Watford, Eubanks

WHY ROCKETS DO IT:

Basically: They upgrade Brooks with Brigdes for all Nets picks, but get 2 late firsts. They have the same amount of picks, they are just way worse.

It's a win for them because if Nets don't rebuild (or even worse if they go all in again) they would receive only mid picks in the 12-20 range. After this deal, they get worse picks but have a borderline all star.

WHY NETS DO IT:

As you can see, they are among the middest teams in the league and what's worse they don't even have their own picks so they can't tank.

Mikal is 27 and even if they trade for a star they would be still not good enough to be contenders and if they don't trade for a star...that's even worse because they would just be a play in team for many more years.

They have to do something and here's my proposal:

Calling the Rockets and asking for their picks back, in exchange they get Bridges. Remember: Rockets don't lose any pick, they are just worse.

6 seconds are also a good prize.

Nets future steps:

• Trade O'Neale and Widdie for anything before the deadline, then they can take their time with DFS, Cam Johnson, Kleber and Tate.

• Let Cam Thomas, Clowney, Whitehead, Sharpe play good minutes. Top 8 pick in this draft.

• Re-sign Clax. Tank HARD in 2024-25. Trade within the deadline the 4 above players. Top 5 pick in the draft.

• 2025 summer: likely cap space since Holmes and Simmons are gone, a good core. If they worked well, they can start creating a winning environment.
