I pray for my Pacers to continue to add Defense any way possible. If we cannot get the traditional Defensive Wings.. Then go this route. Dort and Caruso can play multiple positions and having them a versatile defenders. Along with our already versatile defense in Nembhard. We would keep our Pace and be able to guard anyone at any position. All guards as these guy's can guard even PG's, to SG, the 3 and even some 4 if need be. We have Walker, Nesmith, along with Smith and Pascal for those positions though. We keep Heild here for now after the addition of all this defense. Losing McConnell is tough. But with having a sniper in Heild and Nesmith. Along with the great defender of Nembhard who can also shoot it. Caruso and Dort being able to shoot it. Mathurin becoming a possible Star talent soon as he can hit from anywhere and drive the basketball. This makes all the sense in the world. It also opens up our cap space a bit more. We can look to sign DeMar DeRozan in FA(UFA). Making 28,600,000 on the last year of his deal. He'd be a guy we could afford. We could use another go to player in the clutch to pair with Pascal's ability to do just that and Haliburton. Having Jarace Walker be the backup at PF and now SF as he's been playing great there. Nesmith will play backup SF the majority under DeRozan and backup SG, or even PF if we need him too. Both Caruso and Dort can comfortably play 1-3. I think this is idea and the best trade we could make..

Now I'd personally love to sign Paul George over DeMar, but that's not likely. Stranger thing's have happened. Maybe Clippers bomb during the playoffs lol. I assume he will resign with the the Clippers though.

What do you guy's think as Pacers fans about this trade? GM's say they aren't taking calls on Mikal Bridges and Herb Jones. So then I look at other defensive options and I love these guy's. Dude's who can do multiple thing's.
