WHY DETROIT
Detroit is in desperate need of a guy who can be counted on for 20-30 every game. Lavine is also a great finisher and hyper-athletic and a 3-point threat which will help Cade. His skills do not clash with Cade Cunningham. Patrick Williams is an absolute need for Detroit. A power forward who can stretch the floor and has great defensive potential. Williams is shooting 41% from deep for his career. Simply put, the Pistons desperately need that and Williams may need a change of scenery. We know that Troy Weaver was high on Williams. Here's his chance to get him. Williams is a reward for taking on such a big contract in Zach Lavine. It's said to be a team-killer. The Pistons take the chance. In the offseason the Pistons would still have a good amount of cap space to add to their roster. They'd have about 49 million that they can get off the books. 30 million if they keep Bogey. They'd need to resign Williams out of it but they would have options.
WHY GOLDEN STATE
I think that Jaden Ivey could flourish with Golden State playing in between Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. His quickness and ability to penetrate the defense would be fully dangerous for opposing teams. The CP3 experiment just hasn't worked out and he's untrustworthy to stay healthy. This is the final years of his career and the Warriors need to start preparing for the future in general as Steph, Klay, and Draymond aren't getting any younger. Isaiah Stewart is another guy I think can do what he does best with Golden State due to their shooting ability and the focus on shooting that they have. Bogdanovich is a savvy vet with great scoring ability. He's the type of player the Warriors will love as well. I just think it makes sense for them. It's worth giving up on the CP3 experiment and allowing Kuminga to go elsewhere.
WHY BULLS
Simply put, they get out of what is argued as the worst contract in the league and they can have 60+ million in cap space if they also move on from Derozan. They can reset themselves and start over which is highly expected. Kuminga has been a little more productive and successful than Patrick Williams. CP3's contract can be voided in the offseason. Hayes can be allowed to drop off for more cap space. The same goes for Corey Joseph. If the Bulls are ready to reset like it is alledged and no one is buying except for the Pistons then this may be the way.
