Picks allocated to teams is just hypothetical, not exact. Value may not be perfect.
Lakers
Depth Chart:
PG: Patrick Beverley, Dennis Schroeder
SG: Lonnie Walker IV, Tim Hardaway Jr, Austin Reaves
SF: Lebron James, Doug McDermott, Troy Brown Jr
PF: Anthony Davis, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Wenyen Gabriel
C: Nikola Vucevic, Thomas Bryant, Damian Jones
Give Lebron James some shooting. After the Pacers great start to the year, they’re not looking to dump Turner anymore. This leads to a different, but more intriguing trade for LA, as they add 3 new pieces. Plenty of size and shooting to modernize this team.
Spurs
Depth chart:
PG: Tre Jones, Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Nunn
SG: Devin Vassell, Maliki Branham, Max Christie
SF: Keldon Johnson, Romeo Langford
PF: Jeremy Sochan, Davis Bertans, Alize Johnson
C: Isaiah Roby, Charles Bassey
Rebuilding trade, rebuilding team. No brainer all around for a pre-deadline dump.
Bulls
Depth chart:
PG: Spencer Dinwiddie, Goran Dragic, Lonzo Ball (injured)
SG: Josh Richardson, Ayo Dosunmu, Dalen Terry
SF: Demar Derozan, Alex Caruso, Javonte Green
PF: Patrick Williams, Derrick Jones Jr, Keita Bates-Diop
C: Jakob Poeltl, Andre Drummond, Tony Bradley
A much more well rounded roster. Also allows for better flexibility and makes the Bulls a huge free agency target this offseason.
Mavericks
Depth chart:
PG: Luka Doncic, Coby White, Kemba Walker
SG: Zach Lavine, Reggie Bullock, Jaden Hardy
SF: Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Green
PF: Christian Wood, Maxi Kleber, Zach Collins
C: Dwight Powell, JaVale McGee, Gorgui Dieng
Who leads the league in PPG, FG attempted, and is top 3 in Usage%, OWS, OBPM, VORP, and PER. Luka desperately needs offensive creators. Even in Lavine’s off year, his 3pt % would be top 5 on the Mavericks, comfortably. Only one team in the last decade has won a championship without the Star Guard and Star Wing combination. Sacrificing some role players to get a star is the move that the Mavericks need to make to secure a playoff spot this season.
