Brooklyn trades Simmons and draft capital for rotational pieces that can help a playoff push in Bertans and Williams as well as a flyer on Oladipo (health considered). This clears cap and allows them to be aggressive in FA next year or at the trade this year.

OKC consolidates young talent, expirings, and draft capital to go in on Dame and Nurkic.

Dame - SGA - Williams - Giddey - Chet is a squad that's ready to throw down in the Western Conference.

Portland trades Dame and Nurkic and takes on Simmons. Simmons could perhaps revive his career some on a team that has no expectations. This is mainly a salary dump tho.

Portland gets back a young replacement for Nurkic in Jaylin Williams. It also gets back upside swings in former first rounders Poku, Dieng, and Mann. It gets a mentor for its young backcourt in Mills. It gets star level draft compensation to accelerate the rebuild.

If Dame doesn't go to Miami, this could be a competitive framework for a trade.
