Hello everyone! What a crazy deadline season it has been so far! Certainly injected a level of excitement and bewilderment into the league I haven't seen in a long time. I normally keep my trades down to 2-3 teams, but was inspired by the lunacy we are seeing to go for something a bit more eccentric. This sees 5 teams interconnected by the current picks they own make some deals.

After the Fox trade, the Spurs could very well remain content on hanging on to their remaining assets, both players and picks, and see what they've got before making any other moves. That being said, I think they are in a perfect position to capitalize on the moment and continue to surround Wemby with a tailor-made roster of talent. This trade sees them going out and getting Cam, Bam, and Vit at the cost of Keldon, Barnes, Castle, Branham, four firsts and 4 seconds. This would leave them with still plenty of picks, including most of their own, and keep some of the other young guys together like Vassell and Soc…

Why Atlanta do it: The Hawks have sought a replacement for Capela. If they've identified Nurkić as that player, mission accomplished. The veteran is under contract through 2025-26 at $19.4 million, which helps Atlanta avoid a more significant, long-term investment at the position until it sorts out Trae Young's next contract (the point guard has a $49 million player option before 2026-27).

Hachimura gives the team a short-term replacement for Jalen Johnson, who is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Atlanta owes its first-round pick to the San Antonio Spurs, so tanking for draft position isn't an option. Hachimura will earn $18.3 million next season, giving the Hawks flexibility to decide which players best fit together (Zaccharie Risacher, De'Andre Hunter, Hachimura) alongside Johnson and Young.

The Hawks will stay under the luxury tax this season and next, which is part of their motivation for getting out of Bufkin. Bufkin is also done for the year with a shoulder injury and…

Hawks: The Hawks finally part ways with Capela and in return get a young and taller Center in Day'Ron Sharpe. They also get Dalano Banton as well. They do also part ways with Vit Krejci and a 2028 2nd rounder.

Nets: The Nets get a talented vet Center in Capela as well as an intriguing, younger addition in G Dalano Banton. They also add to their draft capital with a 2025 2nd rounder from Houston as well as ATL's 2028 2nd rounder. The Nets do have to part ways with Bojan Bogdanovic and Keon Johnson.

Rockets: The Rockets get Bojan Bogdanovic and have to give up Jeff Green, Aaron Holiday, and two 2nd rounders. Bojan is a good addition for a "win now" team.

Trailblazers: The Blazers get roped into the trade by absorbing Jeff Green and Aaron Holiday. They do give up a valuable asset in Banton but also acquire Vit Krejci. Aaron Holiday would also be a good rotation player for Portland….

In a stunning move, on draft day, after the Lakers made their second round selection, Trae Young is packing his bags for Disneyland and Okongwu packs his bags for Hollywood. The Lakers get Onyeka Okongwu and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Magic get Trae Young, Terance Mann, and Jarred Vanderbilt, and the Hawks get Anthony Black, Jett Howard, Tristan Da Silva, Dalton Knecht, Rui Hachimura, Jonathan Issac, along with a stunning 6 1st round picks.

For the Magic, although at a steep price, they get their offensive engine for the next 6-7 years at least. Trae will be happy in Disneyland, and getting to throw dimes to Franz, Paolo, Jalen Suggs, and others is much better than Jalen Johnson. The Magic are ready to contend as soon as next season. An A- deal, as they could have gotten off with giving up less.

For the Lakers, the deal also makes sense. They land their center of the future after Mark Williams failed his physical. Okongwu has shown a tad bit of stretch ability, and his athleticism…
