This is the second trade in a series to make on offseason move for every NBA Team.

As we know, the Celtics are under new ownership and are likely to cut costs. More than likely, Kristaps or Holiday will be moved this offseason and in this scenario, it's Holiday. He's been productive on the defensive end this year but he has taken a slight step back offensively. This move makes sense for the long term stability of Celtics basketball.

Celtics Perspective: Cut costs by moving one of your bigger contracts for two contacts around 10M Dollars. Obi fills a need as a bench forward an Nesmith should be the high impact defensive wing they tried to develop Jordan Walsh into. The Celtics also nab an additional first to use in future trades. This move also allows Payton Pritchard to step into a starting role at PG.

Today is the start of a new series. One trade for every team to make in the NBA Offseason. To start this series off it's the top team in the East, the Cleveland Cavs.

Cavs Perspective: The one known hole on the Cavs roster is backup big. Behind the 7FT tandem of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley their next best bigs are Dean Wade and Tristan Thompson. That's an issue for a potential contender. They have a deep wing rotation and can afford to expend a wing in Isaac Okoro who has seen his role decline after the recent acquisition of Deandre Hunter. Robert Williams brings defensive elite versatility, elite rebounding and lineup versatility off the bench. They also acquire him at a slight discount to compensate for his shaky injury history.
