So let’s say the NBA allows for each team to protect 8 players, which means you can put in the comments which 8 players you think your team should protect. I’d also appreciate it if you include the players that you’re not keeping.

If anyone has cool logo designs or uniforms that could be a fun thing to put in the comment section as well. My vote would just be to bring back the Sonics.

I actually think all the owner and Nico's reasons were kind of valid. I will say I think a lot the people in charge of making basketball decisions overthink things and try to big brain things because they want to be the next genius, but this move and the logic they used isn't half as bad as people act like it is. One thing is for sure the Lakers aren't half as smart as people were saying they were a week ago, if nothing else they're completely cut throat for ruining the final year or two of Lebron's career. I think if we're being honest Luka isn't going to be a top five player in the next two years and he definitely hasn't been one this year, in fact this year I'd take the guy who they let walk to New York over Luka. Yes, they made the finals last year, what does that prove? That they made the finals last year… that's it. The Mavs this year even with a fully healthy Luka are probably not a top four team in the west and probably aren't better than the (AD) Lakers, the Clippers, or the…

Bring Allen back to Milwaukee. Move on from Pat for Simone who flashed a bit last year only to be sidelined for most of this season, could be a major pickup for the Bucks playoffs run.

The Suns don’t need Allen as much as they need a bully/enforcer at the four position who can also spread the floor. Allen is a talented player but they have enough talented guard/wing players so Portis would be more valuable.

The Pistons trade a guy who’s playing 15 minutes for a guy who’s playing 15 minutes, the difference is (they get a second) but also they get a guy who has playoff experience (and success) in exchange for a guy who could be good someday, but they aren’t going to give the time to develop because they have a ton of young talent that they value more….

The Hawks give up two expiring vets and two first round picks for a guy who (though having an off year) has the ability to play at a DPOY level on a championship team.

The Heat would still be fairly competitive with this lineup:

PG Terry Rozier

SG Tyler Herro

SF Haywood Highsmith

PF Julius Randle

C Clint Capela

Mike Conley

Rob Dillingham (who maybe should start over Rozier)

Duncan Robinson

Larry Nance jr

Kelel Ware (who would get more playing time)

Nikola Jovic.

Most importantly this team will have a lot of cap space to work with the next couple years. This team will also be pretty competitive this year as they’ll still have good defense but they’ll also have a true number two scoring option behind Herro which they don’t really have right now. They also get a couple of first out of it.

The Timberwolves do it because they need to upgrade Randle and while this does cost them Dillingham , there’s probably not a place for him in their lineup anyway based on the fact that t…

The Suns get 13 picks (seven of which are first rounders) and a lot of veterans with pretty good flip value or their contracts will expire soon. The best part is that they get a few young guys with all star potential namely Reed Sheppard who just dropped 50 in the G League. I’m also a really big Cam Whitmore fan.

KD going to play for Kenny Atkinson on the Cavs makes too much sense to me, if that doesn’t make them favorites I don’t know what will. The Cavs would still have some nice depth pieces as well.

The Rockets make the most sense to get Booker imo because they’re legit contenders if they can get one go to scorer (que Booker) and they have a couple of the Suns picks which Phoenix should try to re acquire if they’re going to tank.

The Lakers get a really good floor general point guard and a nice two way guard who can help space the floor in Grayson Allen and an okay center who has a lot of playoff experience who can come in and play alongside AD to give him a break from bruising …

The Heat are getting two firsts and 50 mil in 2025-2026 offseason cap space.

Warriors lineup

PG Curry

SG Butler

SF Kuminga

PF Draymond

C TJD

Hield

Schroder

Moody

Podz

The Nets get a first for Ben Simmons I don’t see how they could possibly say no to this.

Lakers need a guy like Wiggins who can play at championship level, space the floor, and play defense….

If you were randomly generated a roster of players throughout all NBA history and you could only pick one player and it had to be a point guard, who would it be?
