The best and most unique draft prospect of all time. A 7'5" person should not be able to move the way that Wembanyama can. Pure form on his jump shot. Tight handle and body control to push the pace and drive with either hand. Necessary athleticism for his position to guard and finish at the rim. A very good free throw shooter at 81% on six attempts per game at his size. He is also excellent in the pick and roll, both as a screener and as a ball handler. His IQ in that department is very seasoned and mature for him. Defensive length and speed that is unlike any other 7 footer we have seen. He is adamant on playing forward and not center, but I think he would impact the game more with mismatches as a center, and I think that should be something he accepts doing. He very clearly has the length to be a great weak-side rim protector, but there are instances where he can be moved out the way easily when in one-on-one situations. As enamored as we are with his ability to smoothly create and make shots, his three-point jump shot needs improvement, as he is only shooting roughly 29% on five attempts per game this season. It is also easier to bump a player of his frame off balance, and that plays into the lower shooting percentages. His injury history is also hard to ignore, but it would be malpractice to ignore the insane (!!!) upside Wembanyama has. Easily the greatest prospect ever, while also having the upside of being one of the five greatest players ever.
