Portland shut down Thybulle for the latter part of the season and he was pretty disappointing offensively this year. Yes he’s an amazing defender but he’s 27 now and doesn’t quite fit with the blazers. Trading him for a young prospect who could develop into a solid bench role lead player is a great trade. Mavericks need some perimeter defense and putting him in an offense next to Luka and Kyrie would be amazing.
