This trade might seem a little out of left field but I think all teams can stand to benefit from this. In the case of the Kings, they get a center that they can try out in Nurkic who they know will work well with their point guard. Nurkic has showed that he can work alongside dynamic PG's such as Fox and Dame and if it doesn't work out he is an expiring contract. DJJ provides defense off their bench that they need and they get compensated with picks for the loss of Barnes and Wright. For the Pacers, Barnes would take over the spot of PF with Sabonis gone which gives Carlisle a player mold that he likes, role players who can defend and shoot. This also frees up space for levert and warren to work inside and in the midrange while having outside threats such as brogdon, turner, and now Barnes. Obviosly the value doesn't match up so they also get 2 firsts, 1 second, and Simons to make value work. Simons can be used as a scoring guard off the bench and is also a mold of player that carlisle can use. For the Warriors, CJ had rumours of being traded there earlier in the season and I think they should pull the trigger on it. As long as you trade Wiseman and #7 for a rim protecter who can contribute on offense(Christian Wood would be my go to) then the loss of defense won't really mean that much. Klay can play the 3 and you can deal with having 2 smaller guards in the back court when you have draymond green and presumably a rim protector. I am of the opinion that if the Warriors do not trade Wiseman and both of their picks for assets that help them now, their offseason should be considered a failure, but this helps them move in the right direction. Finally for the Blazers, they get a forward who can defend really well alongside Roco. Wiggins is a great defender despite his lapses on offense and can definitely contribute on both sides of the ball by getting out in transition, and hitting his threes. Wright provides a big point guard who can playmake off the bench so our defense acutally gets better when dame comes off the floor, and Sabonis can move to center which he always should have been. He can play serviceable defense at the 5, is an elite rebounder and post scorer, and can move the ball very well for a big man too. Additionally with the lottery pick from the Warriors they should select one of Moses Moody(if he falls), Chris Duarte(whos from Oregon), or Trey Murphy. All of which are 3 and D guys who can contribute immediatly. Moses Moody is probably the best of the bunch because of his age but as far as immediate help, Duarte and Murphy would be better. Both can play either 2 or 3 and are both great shooters who were 50-40-90 in college as well as great defenders. In free agency, Portland should resign Powell and Melo. Powell can take over the starting 2 guard role, and Melo can be a locker room guy and a dude who lights it up off the bench. Also they should get a defensive backup big like Nerlens Noel and a backup 4 who does similar things to Roco, stretch the floor and play defense. Rudy Gay is a good option and is probably almost as good as Covington right now despite what he used to be.
