Thunder upgrade in their weakest link in their starting 5. Teams can't sag off of their point guard anymore. They also get a True Center, a player they dont have in their lineup that they can use for playoff versatility. It seems like they are giving up a lot of picks but they don't have the use of those many picks anymore. Hawks get a good young player and bunch of picks. This is prolly the best return they could get.
