Obviously it's the most fun to do a draft sim for us where we get into the top 4. I for one think Adam Silver likes what we're cooking up down here and just might throw us a bone this year. Alas, with the 2nd overall pick the hawks select Alex Sarr PF/C. Fluid athlete, with an AD-type defensive ceiling that probably profiles as more of a 4 offensively with his style of play, maybe JJJ but actually 7'. NOT A GREAT REBOUNDER but a game-altering defender nonetheless. The shot is a work in progress but as long as Kyle Korver is here I don't think we'll draft anybody we can't teach to shoot. Makes sense if you want to move Jalen to the 3 and get bigger. Start JJ OO Sarr or something like that, or just add him to the center room and but some meat on him.

On to the 20th pick, there were one names on the board I like, Castle, Smith, Furphy, Holmes, da Silva, George, Ajinca, Hall, Chomche, AJ Johnson(project same NBL team as Sarr), Kobe Johnson(JJ brother), but I just have falle in love with Jamir Watkins as a wing out of FSU. Probably just a 3 at the net level but 6'7" 210 senior, led FSU in Points Rebounds andSteals this season, 2nd in both Assists and blocks. HE isn't one of those guys who just happens upon steals because of the hard work of others no he's swiping down on bigs who are indecisive in the post, baiting bad passers into testing HIS passing lanes, and just hounding bad ball handlers in the backcourt for easy dunks and layups at the rim. One play I recall against duke where Filipowksi comes down with he rebound and Jamir just takes it from him, this guy is a dog. Good on and off the ball defender who will take the challenge of guarding anybody wether they leverage speed and/or force. On offense don't fight me but I see Jimmy Butler, strong solid base who gets creative inside 10 ft can hit the 3 ball at a reasonable clip enough ball skills to run a 2nd side PnR probably pretty good in short roll situation as well, although we already have Jalen there. He gets to the line... a lot. I know this is my first post but I will tell you now I love prospects who get to the line. HE does tend to throw is body into defenders but he has good touch around the rim as well. I passed up on some "better prospects" for a guy who's ready to play defense against grown men today 2-4 and will be complimentary as fuck on offense. We need another stopper and I think he can be that while being an old prospect on Traelen's timeline. I'm interested to see how he tests at thecommbine if he's really 6'7" with a 6'10"+ WS he could be a great addition to the core.
