Wolves:
Minnesota breaks KAT-Gobert tandem off and replaces KAT with an elite 3&D player that fits better into Rudy’s play style —> Minnesota guarantees OG the bigger role he was wishing for and they’ll also get a couple of valuable assets in return
Knecht will be a great addition to complete their bench unit
Knicks send both their 2025 FRPs
Minnesota safe some money and try to convince Rudy to take a pay cut for a long term extension (somewhere between 3/100 or 4/120) —> this makes it easier to retain Naz Reid next offseason
LAL 29’ FRP is unprotected and has a lot of potential/value
Starting Lineup: Conley-ANT-McDaniels-Anunoby-Gobert Bench: Dillingham-NAW-Knecht-Naz
Knicks:
they finally make a move for KAT before having to extend Randle to a big contract
to close the salary/skill gap between KAT and Ju, they’ll have to move another player and I decided to move OG because his contracts opens up salary —> they are even able to keep Mitch as a backup center/starter (unlikely) since KAT can play both positions
they move their two picks in 25’ (most likely won’t convey anyway) to be able to add two defensive wings in GG and Vando
Starting Lineup: JB-DiVi-Bridges-Vando-KAT Bench: Deuce-Hart-GG-Mitch
Lakers:
Dlo has practically been in trade rumors since he arrived in LA and since Dlo/AR is a awful defensive backcourt LA decides to trade DLO
Lakers add a WCJ to move AD back to PF and a future FRP that is immediately traded alongside their 2029 FRP, Vando and Knecht to Minnesota/NY to receive former DPOY Marcus Smart
Lakers solve two big issues and double down on their LBJ/AD tandem
Starting lineup: Smart-Reaves-LBJ-AD-WCJ Bench: Vincent-Christie-Rui-Hayes
Memphis:
With Ja and Bane back, there is no reason to think that Smart is starting on this team and I believe he’s the easiest player to move
Acquiring Randle gives them desperately needed size and strength next to JJJ —> I know they drafted Edey but I’m sure he won’t be ready from day 1, getting an All-NBA caliber player for just Smart and GG is a fair trade off
A JJJ/Ju Tandem would work wonders for both because their play styles compliment each other very well
they still hold all their own draft capital and are flexible going forward
Orlando:
Dlo solves both the Shooting and PG-playmaking issues that they have —> there might be a couple to many players competing for minutes at PG/SG but since they have a ton of assets they won’t have issues resolving the deadlock
I can see them exploring trade option for a starting Center of the likes of Allen
Starting Lineup: Dlo-Suggs-Wagner-Banchero-Isaac Bench: Anthony-Black-KCP-Da Silva-Wagner
