I feel like Jazz and definitely Kings say no, but I'm a knicks fan and this is the most realistic thing I could come up with(this trade only happens in context so the context is below). If you strongly hate this idea as a Knicks fan I will argue with you in the comments, if you are a Jazz or Kings fan who hates it totally fair I have no reason to argue with you(if you like it or don't mind it though lmk I will be happy).
This happens IF, the Kings are underperforming in the Demar Derozan era, realizing they want to refocus. The goal becomes to build aroud one of Dearon or Sabonis while getting young assets for the other. They chose to trade Sabonis and therefore build around Dearon and also keegan Murray, shifting towards an attempt to build a team to more effectively space the floor. Getting back some quality players in Collins and Mitch is great, and they get 1 first, 2 protected firsts(which if one conveys would likely be a low lottery pick which is pretty great) and 2 swaps which could or could not be valuable by 2028 and 2030).
The Jazz do this as overperformers. The Lauri era is looking great, they are currently in the play in and are looking to make some pushes for stars, and Randle is probably the statisically best player for both a lower contract and lower trade value. The Jazz don't seem to see a guy like Walker as part of their future as an interior center, and Collins is cool but I STRONGLY doubt hes the floor spacing 5 of the future for them either. A combo of Lauri and Randle at any of the 3 thru 5 would be really interesting, and for the 2 guys mentioned about and only 1 first its not too heavy of a price at all.
Knicks do it in any scenario in my opinion. Sabonis is a fantastic player. Fantastic rebounder, amazing passer, and despite some negative connotations is a very solid defender. When Keon Ellis joined the starting lineup of Huerter his advanced defensive stats greatly improved, so imagine him now being surrounded by Mikal and Og, plus guys like Mcbride, Hart, and Donte. Walker completes our center depth, where he would get the backup center minutes, but with Sabonis also being able to play the 4 Walker wouldn't be subject to low minutes necessarily as they could play a clunky form of basketball together.
Since I'm a Knicks fan here is the 9 man rotation: Brunson, Donte, Mikal, Og, Sabonis Mcbride, Hart, Precious(or a suprise rookie whether its Kolek, Mcullar, or somehow Pacome), Walker
The only weakness is really the offense if we have to run Precious at the 4 as his spacing is shit, and neither Sabonis and def not Walker are spacing centers, but they should be great defensive lineups at the minimum and Precious will likely only get 5-10 minutes a game. In an ideal world, guys 1-6 avg 32-33 mpg and all play very similar minutes which leaves 42-48 minutes for guys 7-9 and Mcbride and Walker should get 15-20 minimum, so Precious gets the scraps.
