I give up. I have been trying to argue that OG's value is overrated, but the Mavs need defense and they need it badly.

Here, Dallas gives up Josh Green, Jaden Hardy, THJ and an unprotected first. THJ has been playing out of his mind offensively to start the season, so I think he holds quite a bit of value. Hardy still has a very high ceiling and is a great shooter. I might be the biggest JG fan there is, but he hasn't been what I expected him to be this season. OG would boost the Mavs' defense tremendously and hopefully put them close to contention.

The Thunder significantly boost the shooting on their roster, while getting rid of the Bertans contract too. They probably don't wanna trade two firsts for this package, but both of the picks they trade will most likely be in the 18-25 range.

The Raptors need to blow it up. They turned down three firsts for OG last year, but he's an expiring now and this is just a better package with the Mavs' 2027 first and Josh Green included.

I think the Thunder might want to get better value for their picks, but the trade works beautifully in my opinion.
