There are still a lot of gaps on the Pelicans roster. The frontcourt depth is basically non-existent. This trade expands the Dejounte Murray trade to get New Orleans two bigs from Utah. The Kings get Brandon Ingram and help to facilitate the other sides of the deal in turn.

Atlanta gets a returning wing shooter who can come off the bench and provide some punch. Can also reroute him elsewhere if they want.

Utah gets 2 UFRPs and a swap and clear up minutes for their young frontcourt guys like Hendricks and Filipowski etc. They want to trade Kessler and Collins doesn't fit their timeline at all.

Sacramento sends out their medium salary guys and some picks to get Brandon Ingram and make a great big 3. With Fox allegedly unsure of his future in Sacramento, the Kings go after a big name. They keep Devin Carter and Keegan Murray and have a really solid playoff rotation.

The two Utah bigs going to NOLA provide different skill sets which can help the Murray-CJ-Herb-TM3-Zion core in their own ways. Collins can either play next to Zion as a small ball 5 or in place of him as your backup 4 if Zion is out. Also signing Gordon Hayward for the MLE to get some extra shooting on the wing for a relatively good deal.
