WHY WARRIORS
While the Warriors are the one team I think would be on the fence, the value here is that not only will this trade give them some more future cap flexibility,as they trade Wiggins, and will likely be trading CP3. To be realistic, resigning Moody won't be much of a focus compared to Kuminga who is going to be a restricted free agent looking to get paid. Kuminga has been on fire lately. Alec Burks is a savvy veteran scorer who can be trusted when he's in the game. Isaiah Stewart fits very well with what Golden State loves to do with their bigs. Killian Hayes is a good ball manager who can probably be re-signed for cheap if he passes the audition. The Milwaukee pick is protected 1-4 so the Warriors definitely can expect to obtain it. Also having the Knicks' 2024 pick will give them more flexibility in a follow-up trade as they'd now have a pick in every year including two in 2025.
CP3 and draft picks could go a long way in the NBA to help the Warriors continue to reshape their roster around their legendary core 3 in Steph Curry/Klay Thompson/Draymond Green.
WHY KNICKS
I know what it looks like...3 picks for Andre Wiggins? Well, yes. Look at it like this. Wiggins is a veteran NBA Champion. They know that their own pick will be at the back end of the draft even with their current roster. They're going to become so much better by replacing a player that they don't play AT ALL in Fournier with Andrew Wiggins and adding another serviceable veteran guard in Corey Joseph (not saying he's going to do a ton, but he's a trustworthyf vet). The Milwaukee pick, barring any major injuries or changes to Giannis and Dame, as it is protected 1-4, will likely be obtained but it still will likely be no higher than a mid-late rounder at worst. The Pistons' draft rights are a deep unknown at this point. If the Pistons don't get better, the Knicks will almost never see that pick any time soon. They are STILL the worst team in the league with no direction in sight. The Knicks make a win-now move and let the Pistons have their pick back.
WHY PISTONS
Yes, I know that Stew is a fan-favorite. I love Stew myself yall and if you know then you KNOW! However, the Pistons need a lot of changes and his fit doesn't necessarily help the Pistons in what they need to do. The Pistons need a player like Lauri Markkanen but they cannot obtain him without any tradeable picks due to the Knicks having their draft rights. Here the Pistons get the pick that they traded for Stew back, they move on from Killian Hayes, they take on a different young serviceable player in Moody, they give Fournier some playing time, and they focus on moving Bogdanovich next. From this point forward, the Pistons would be a well-equipped team for trades with the players they'd have left that are still tradeable and their draft picks returned. That 2024 draft pick would be GOLD in a follow-up trade. The Pistons need to get those draft rights back by any means necessary.
