ATLANTA IS THE TEAM THAT IS QUESTIONABLE IN THIS TRADE!

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, here's why they may decide to make this move. I think that Atlanta isn't only going to move on from Murray. I think that they just might also move on from Trae Young soon but this trade would be equipping them with enough picks to make a major trade as well. If they trade Young, having Ivey can fill the guard void if they do so, and if not, he fits very well with Trae Young. In the same manner. Dieng is a project for sure. The 2024 LAC pick is unprotected and the 2025 PHI pick is protected 1-4 so that's great. The Hawks are having trouble trading Murray according to rumors. This can be considered fair value.

As far as OKC, they are hitting a home run all the way! Dejounte Murray and SGA would be one of the scariest two-way wing duos maybe ever. Seriously, their defense on opposing guards would be absolutely devastating. Add in James Wiseman who brings some much-needed size at Center (not saying as a starter, but in general). Bogdanovich can either come off of the bench as a 6th man or start with Jaylen Williams coming off of the bench but overall I would think that they'd have Bogey come off of the bench. This would 100% be the #1 team in the West becoming EVEN BETTER. They would be my favorites to go all the way personally. This would be a team that Denver would have a tough time with and if they made it to the finals the same would go for Boston, Milwaukee, or Miami.

The Pistons would have a lot of versatility after this trade and the truth is that they need it. The talk is that Jaden Ivey isn't a great fit. On the contrary, Dort is a player that is good a deferring to a star. He's a 3&D guy and so is DeAndre Hunter. The real focus here though is the picks that Detroit is acuqiring. The Pistons have been unable to pull off some of the trades that they may have wanted to make but with 2 more 1st round picks, Alec Burks, Killian Hayes, and Isaiah Stewart still available as trade bait they can start to make some moves that builds a real team around Cade Cunningham. They could also easily acquire full pick control back from NYK as it is rumored that they desire to have Alec Burks back or Isaiah Stewart. This trade could have the Pistons in the Luari Markanen conversation in no time...
