Moore is a winner on both ends of the floor. He always does what it takes to win, and would be a great fit on a contending team. He is a good rebounder and a solid passer. Wendell is a great defender and gets in his opponents' way. He hasn’t totally gotten to play his natural position either since he is some sort of a point forward. He is a bit older than some top prospects, but he is super young for his class. Moore is definitely one of my favorite players in the draft.

He is an athletic defender, can defend the paint really well, and has some of the greatest perimeter defense. He is a decent shooter, and good efficiency. He should work on finishing strong at the rim.

Another 3 and D player. Good size at 6'5 and elite length at 7'0. He doesn't excel at anything but is decent on almost everything. Some people don't buy his 3 point shooting but I think he'll be ok. Can handle the ball and playmake a bit, could be a solid secondary ball handler. Struggles a bit when creating for himself but isn't incompetent either.

Player analysis

Wendell Moore played a versatile and sound game at Duke, the junior in college looked to be a mid first round pick earlier in the season but has slipped as other prospects with higher upsides have come up. Moore plays a lot of wing and forward in a complementary/glue guy role, he is solid on all three levels when it comes to scoring and is a nice passer while playing solid defense. I wouldn’t say there are many weaknesses in his game but his size is a little small for forwards in the league so his positional versatility might be more limited for an NBA team. Although not being the tallest or strongest player, he has very long arms that were measured out as one of the bigger deficits in the draft. He uses that length to be a solid defender that fits into team schemes pretty well. Wendell can score on three levels but none of them are at a high level so if he does run into offensive problems in the future it wouldn't be a huge shock to me, many okay or so so skills in college end up being weaknesses in the league so he's most likely the type of player to be the fifth option in a lineup. Moore can pass kind of like a guard but I don’t see him being a ball handler so that part of his skillset will most likely be more connective, being a good passer even without handling the ball is an underrated part of the game and I really like when a prospect has that in his skillset. Wendell can be a great role player that can plug into any team that needs a solid safe bet in the early second round, I can see a team reaching on him just to get him before he's gone but it would be shocking if he went anywhere before the late first round.

Moore is a versatile defender who can guard 1-3 very well. Moore can score very well too and shows some signs of being a great catch shoot shooter. Moore isn’t great in the mid range and has some issues at the free throw line.

A junior from Duke. Wendell Moore Jr took a while to break out to a potential first round draft pick, and he developed some nice NBA level skills. Known as a great athlete, his finishing at the rim is his best offensive skill. Over his three year career at Duke, he improved his three-point percentage by about 10 percent each season, which is also a testament to his work ethic. While his best offensive trait is his driving, it is not from self creation for the most part, which is a skill he'll need to develop later on. A majority of it comes from back cuts, and that is an underrated skill that not a lot of NBA players utilize in their game. His defense and his strength are some of his best traits. He is a technically-sound on-ball defender with great lateral quickness and strength to seriously bother opponents. He also has great rebounding ability. His offensive game needs refinement and he will need to add different go-to moves to develop some versatility for himself and the team. Moore is a raw offensive player who will need to spend time in the G-League, but he has good potential to become a good 25+ minute per game role player.

Player Comparison: Bruce Brown
