Kings- Derozan hasn't worked the way they planned, and adding depth in Grant and RWIII helps the team with DEF. Grant fills the roles of shooting of Huerter, solo shot creation of Derozan, and wing DEF.

LAL- They need HELP! Lebron is trying to do enough to get them to the playoffs and needs more help on OFF. Derozan is a wing that isn't a negative on DEF, but definitely better on OFF than Rui and Christie combined.

POR- They get impactful young players and draft capital. Grant isn't part of the long term plan, and RWIII won't get more valuable as a trade asset. Trading both now nets them all the pieces they asked for in a trade. *They still do right by Banton and waive him after his contract was guaranteed.
