Trade 1:

Knicks Receive: DeJounte Murray, 2 2025 SRPs (One via Atlanta, One via Sacramento)

What a great deal for the Knicks! They use two of their many first round picks and Josh Hart to gain a player that they have reported interest in. Brunson can naturally play off-ball and will fit with Murray as Brunson did with Luka. Trae is a great player, but is much less off-ball than Brunson, which is why it hasn’t worked as planned in Atlanta. A starting lineup with Murray, Brunson, OG, and Randle is deadly.

Kings Receive: De’Andre Hunter

For the price of the struggling Kevin Huerter and a SRP, the Kings receive a, at minimum, solid 3&D wing, which they have been sorely missing. De’Andre Hunter still has loads of potential but just hasn’t tapped into it in Atlanta. Maybe a coaching change and change of scenery is what’s best for him.

Hawks Receive: Kevin Huerter, Josh Hart, 2 Knicks FRPs

The Hawks need to retool badly. The Murray experiment, sadly to say, was a failure. A reuniting with Red Velvet brings us the shooting we so desperately need on the wing, and Josh Hart brings us the defense we so desperately need. Plus, we gain picks useful for another trade.

Trade 2:

Warriors Receive: Clint Capela

The Warriors desperately need size in the frontcourt. Enter Clint Capela! Capela has had an up and down year but is still a great rebounder and great in the pick and roll. He will help a reeling Warriors team.

Hawks Receive: Andrew Wiggins

Wiggins has not been the same player this year as he was years before. He has served the Warriors well, but it is time to move on with other players (Kumingna) needing time to grow for the next Golden State era. Wiggs has been shaky and inconsistent, only averaging 12ppg. The Hawks take on his big contract for his defense and hopeful return to good shooting along to give Okongwu the starting minutes. And, Wiggins is a good trade piece for the next deal.

Trade 3:

Hawks Receive: Pascal Siakam, Dennis Schroeder

The Hawks get their new, long rumored star next to Trae Young in Pascal Siakam, who’s such a better fit than Murray. He’s a good 2nd scoring option and a good defender. He also adds needed size in the frontocurt. We reunite years later with fan-favorite Schroeder to be our next backup point guard.

Raptors Receive: Andrew Wiggins, AJ Griffin, Kobe Bufkin, Patty Mills, 2 FRPs

This is a great Siakam package for the Raps to receive. They get a good wing in Wiggins to replace OG, they gain 2 young players with massive potential in Griffin and Bufkin, and they gain a solid veteran presence in Mills who is on an expiring contract. Oh yeah, and 2 FRPs. This is really everything they could ask for.

Here’s the new Hawk’s lineup…

Starters: Trae Young, Josh Hart/Bogdan Bogdanovic, Jalen Johnson, Pascal Siakam, Onyeka Okongwu

Bench: Dennis Schroeder, Kevin Huerter, Josh Hart/Bogdan Bogdanovic, Saddiq Bey, Bruno Fernando
