SUMMARY

WHY PISTONS

Pistons clean house with 2 of Troy Weaver's picks and add a guy that fits with Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson. If the Pistons resign Fontecchio at 18-20 mil per year, they would still have about 70 million in cap space left! They also would have the 12th pick in the draft which they could either use on a guy they believe in or trade away for more capital or another player who fits (again, they have 70 mil in cap space).

The team would already have a worthy lineup of Cade/Ausar/Mathurin/Fontecchio/Duren to play and it already would fit more of Monty William's coaching style. Using their cap space, they could push some of those guys to the bench (Fontecchio/Ausar?),or fill out their bench depending on who they sign. Tobias Harris has been in rumors. I love Malik Monk. I'd see what Patrick Williams is asking for and add him to the bench. The Pistons could really start making some solid moves to fill out the roster and make it fit Monty Williams's coaching style.

WHY PELICANS

Rumors have been that the Pelicans really like Isaiah Stewart for a while. Adding Giddy brings a dangerous dynamic to already having the dangerously versatile Zion Williams on the team. Jaden Ivey can actually be an off the bench spark. At pick #5 they could target a guy who is a shooter like Dalton Knect or a big with a bright future like Donovan Clingan, Risacher if he falls, etc. They could only hope that Reed Shephard would be there! At #5 there's some guys they could really use. They could take a swing for Stephen Castle to pair with McCullum. Point is that they'd have options and a fuller roster at the expense of Ingram who seemingly doesn't want to be there anyway.

WHY PACERS

Admittedly, though they are the question mark for me here for me, after they resign Siakam (who they can wait to fill out the roster to go over the tax line for) they would have the absolute most versatile 3-man tandem possibly ever assembled in Haliburton/Siakam/Ingram. I know Mathurin seemingly has a bright future and Turner has been a Pacer for years but Ingram is a scorer and truthfully an All-Around player. He is a threat with the ball in his hands every time he touches it and he also can easily take the load off of Haliburton at any time. Just like Hali and Siakam he is also a willing passer. He's a triple double threat every game and he also is a willing defender. Nothing beats points on the board. They can sign a couple of replacements and able bodies for Turner and maybe a couple more in the 2nd round of the draft. With Ingram, who's only 26 years old and can be a direct Jason Tatum matchup in the east, the Pacers would look spooky.

WHY OKC

OKC is a championship threat alreadt and they're looking for their guy to pair next to Chet. Turner is simply that all the way! A 3&D center who can also play PF. In the same way Haliburton has benefited from Myles Turner's presence, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would do the same. They give up Josh Giddy, who could use a change of scenery, a (technically) 2024 pick swap (#15 for #21) and a Philadelphia 76ers pick that would very likely be outside of the lottery. It makes sense to me.
