Los Angeles is in a bad spot right now. Saying that they have been bad is an understatement. They have somehow gotten even worse than they were last season, and things are not looking up. It is obvious that major changes need to be made to this lineup. The proposed trade with Indiana does just that. Los Angeles has been the worst 3-point shooting team in the entire NBA this season. Buddy Hield is one of the best shooters in the NBA. He won’t be able to fix LAs shooting woes by himself, but at least the Lakers will now have a rotation worthy 3-point sniper. Myles Turner is also a capable 3-point shooter, though Los Angeles is more in need of his interior defense rather than his shooting. Anthony Davis isn’t the DPOY candidate he used to be. He is capable of being a good rim protector, but he can’t elevate the Lakers defense to a respectable level all by himself. Patrick Beverly has helped a little bit, but the Lakers need to add an elite defender at any position right now. Myles Turner …

Jae Crowder has been the subject of trade talks ever since he made it known that he does not want to be in Phoenix anymore. He has not yet been traded though. That ought to change soon. With Cameron Johnsons recent injury, there is now more pressure on the Suns to trade Crowder. What is the market for him though? He is a solid role player, but not one worthy of receiving a return of both players and picks. The most I can reasonably see Phoenix getting in a Crowder trade is another role player. That isn’t a bad thing though, as there are several good role players that may be available on the trade market. Grayson Allen is one of those players. There are reports that Milwaukee is shopping Allen right now. He is a good player and Milwuakee appreciates his 3-point shooting ability, but it is clear that Milwaukee would rather go in a different direction right now. Maybe in the direction of Jae Crowder. He is a perfect fit in their system and would have a good impact off of the bench. For Ph…

Scoot Henderson has made a name for himself as the 2nd best prospect in this upcoming draft class. Victor Wembanyama is quite possibly the most coveted prospect since LeBron James, but the team who gets the 2nd overall pick should not be majorly disappointed. Scoot Henderson is a phenomenal basketball player and would go first overall in many draft classes. He is reminiscent of a young Derrick Rose or prime John Wall. It’s interesting to think about how that kind of player would fit in different teams systems, especially considering that some of the projected worse teams in the NBA already have a young guard that they are building around. There are some teams that I think would be perfect landing spots for Scoot though.

The Houston Rockets are my favourite landing spot for Scoot Henderson, largely due to potential dynamite scoring duo they would create. Jalen Green is proving himself to be one of the best young scorers in the NBA. Add Scoot Henderson to that backcourt? Mind blowing. A…

Unless your have been living under a rock for the last couple of months, you have definitely heard of Victor Wembanyama. He has become one of the most hyped up prospects in NBA history. The way he plays makes no sense at all. He is 7”4 but plays like a wing at times with his shooting and mobility. It’s safe to say that every single NBA team would love to add Wembanyama to their roster. Where would he fit best though? What team would put him in the best position to succeed in the NBA? That is the question I have asked myself. Victor Wembanyama will certainly succeed anywhere he goes, but there are a couple of teams that I believe would put him in a better position to succeed than others. Here are those teams.

The first team, and the team where I hope Victor Wembanyama ends up on, is the New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans is not bad enough to be in a position to get Victor, but the Lakers certainly are. The Pelicans own the Lakers pick this year, and it is looking like another year of mi…

Charlotte should be in a 1 year rebuild right now. They had a rough off-season with Miles Bridges situation and LaMelo Ball getting hurt right before the season started. Having another losing year may be tough for Charlotte, but this couldn’t have happened in a better year. Victor Wembanyama is a generational prospect, and he is in the 2023 Draft Class. Charlotte should be doing everything in their power to be able to have a chance at Wembanyama. That is the main reason for this trade. Charlotte is moving on from two better players and receive Russell Westbrook (Will be waived after the trade) and both of the highly coveted Lakers picks. This sets off a full 1 year rebuild for the Hornets as they try to tank for Victor Wembanyama.

Los Angeles needs to give in and trade Russ plus their 2 picks. Russell Westbrook is a clear negative to the Lakers and I don’t see anything changing that. There are a couple different options out there, but this one is the most interesting. Terry Rozier an…

Buddy Hield is a guy that I want to see play with Luka Doncic. He is an excellent 3-point shooter and he doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be successful or impactful. Those are the players Dallas should have around Luka. The front office has already done a good job at doing this, but it still isn’t enough for Dallas to be taken seriously in the playoffs by a team like Golden State. Buddy Hield isn’t going to lift Dallas to much greater heights, but he will be a great addition to the team and will help Dallas be better equipped for a playoff run.

I’m on the fence about this trade for Indiana. It makes sense for them to trade Buddy Hield right now, but this return package has me thinking. Davis Bertans is a bad contract, but the money Indiana would have to give him next year is non-guaranteed. So essentially, Indiana is clearing up more cap space with this trade. Bennedict Mathurin would be able to start now with Buddy Hield out of the picture. Josh Green is a throw in for cap spac…

San Antonio should be looking to open up playing time for the youth on their roster. Josh Richardson is a good player, but San Antonio would rather give someone like Branham his minutes. So San Antonio makes this trade. They send Josh Richardson to Toronto, and in return receive DJ Wilson (likely to be waved after the trade), Khem Birch (likely to be sent to another team), and Malachi Flynn (likely to be kept on the roster).

Toronto has a clear need for better guard depth. Josh Richardson is a solid player who fits the player mold that Nick Nurse likes. He can shoot 3s and play defense. He would become an important bench piece to Toronto for this season, and Toronto would have some extra cap space next season to resign him or bring in someone new….

It seems like a rather simple trade, but I believe that it could work out tremendously for both sides. Mike Muscala is a great fit on the Nets with Ben Simmons. He is an above average 3-point shooter for a Center, and that will help Ben Simmons lack of shooting be hidden more. OKC is giving more space for Jeremiah Robinson Earl to play, and now will be adding another young big man to that mix as they are receiving Day’Ron Sharpe in this trade.

Forgive me if this is sloppy. I am still learning how the site works!…
