Hello everyone,

It seems to be a good thing that I was planning a rebrand this week. As I was preparing to rebrand this weekend, I got locked out of my Fanspo account on my primary device (my phone). My school has banned Fanspo logins from their google accounts, which is where this account was hosted. Luckily, I am still able to stay logged in on devices I was already logged into. That loophole allowed me to stay logged in on this computer, but not my phone (hence why I haven't been active the past couple of days). Thankfully, the loophole allows me to make this announcement and confirm that the new account is me.

My new account is called u/kawntent . This naming unbounds me from others and allows me to build my own brand separate from Paolo Banchero. This is especially important as I consider expansion beyond Fanspo to content creation on other platforms. I'm looking forward to my new journey on the new account, and hoping you all will join me! Los Angeles acquires Devonte' Graham from the Charlotte Hornets for Kyle Kuzma, Quinn Cook, and a 2020 first-round pick. Graham will give the Lakers playmaking, hustle, energy, and floor-spacing (he shot 37% from three this season and consistently 40% over his collegiate career), as the point guard they need long-term. Even if giving up Kuzma is tough, keep in mind he was not the optimal fit next to LeBron and AD this year, and struggled mightily to fit in, next to Davis. Devonte' Graham would be a great fit on the Lakers, especially since they need a secondary playmaker next to LeBron, if Rondo leaves or declines next season.

Golden State acquires DeMar DeRozan from the Spurs in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, 2021 Minnesota first-rounder, and a 2021 second-round pick. The Warriors do this to make the playoffs next year, following the news of Klay Thompson's injury earlier on. DeRozan would play SG for a year on the Warriors, and then when Klay Thompson returns for the 2021-22 NBA season, he would be the Warriors starting SF. The Warriors now find the perfect slasher to pair with Curry in the backcourt, and looking ahead to the future, DeRozan perfectly meshes with the Splash Brothers, who would complement his game spotting up for threes as he drives to the basket, and are of similar ages as him, as Stephen Curry is a year older than DeRozan, whereas Klay Thompson is a year younger. With Curry and DeRozan perfectly complementing each other in the backcourt, Golden State should make the 2021 NBA Playoffs:

Milwaukee acquires Nikola Vucevic from the Magic for Brook Lopez, D.J. Wilson, Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova, and a 2020 Indiana first-round pick. This trade should help Milwaukee get even better by pursuing a center like Nikola Vucevic, who can space the floor for Giannis Antetokounmpo while also grabbing rebounds. He can also score in the post, which should nevertheless help the Bucks. Milwaukee gets a C who fits with them, and they improve significantly following this trade.

The PBL stands for the Paolo Basketball League and it is my inaugural mock. Paolo Banchero was born in November 2002, so that will be the first season of the mock (2002-2003). Additionally, this season is the lead-up to LeBron James’ entering the league. This means that you can choose to either tank for LeBron, Melo, or Wade, or you can take advantage of those tanking teams and build a superteam for yourself!

Since we’re starting in 2002-03, there are only 29 teams. The rosters we will start off with are the base 2002-2003 rosters in Basketball-GM. Real player determinism is off, so someone like Darko could still be a star in this league!

The Nets are still in New Jersey, and the SuperSonics are still in Seattle.

Perhaps the Bucks need to trade Middleton. While he is all-around talented, he might not be the perfect fit alongside Giannis. The Bucks acquire a more dynamic offensive player in CJ McCollum, along with the defensive ace, Derrick Jones Jr. Who has improved his jump shot dramatically over the last few days. McCollum is also one of the clutches players in the league, his skills will be very much needed in the playoffs. Also, McCollum has improved his range and defense dramatically this year. Having a backcourt of Holiday and McCollum would provide the Bucks with an elite offensive and defensive game.

Holiday is the perfect defensive guard to pair with Luka Doncic. Furthermore, either Luka Doncic, Delon Wright, or Seth Curry can play SG in Dallas, to make up for the loss of Tim Hardaway Jr. Even though they lose Brunson, the Mavericks can also utilize either Wright or Curry to backup Holiday, or sign a cheap backup PG in free agency on a one-year deal. In any case, with Dallas looking to be aggressive in forming a big 3, Holiday does just that and his defense is necessary in Dallas.
