To be fair, I gave the Bucks the good Devonte Green AND Queta. On top of Ingram, Holiday, and Porzingis as a big 3 replacement for Giannis, Dame, Middleton. Even with picks, still doesn't feel fair, but I guess you're never going to get full value back if Giannis decides he wants out. Added 4 more decent (albeit, over-paid) players in Tobias Harris, Isaiah Stewart, Tim Hardaway, and Trey Murphy to almost balance out losing Giannis + Dame. So say Bucks bite on that because it's the best they're going to get in return for Giannis...
Trey Young, Khris Middleton, & Derrick White on the Pelicans with CJ, Zion still... seems like they got 5 All-Star caliber players now and might try to consolidate their talent for a win now situation. Could make them stronger for the playoffs even if it says they'd lose 2 more games in the regular season. Although, losing Herbert Jones, Trey Murphy, Dejounte Murray, and Davonte Green would hurt... but who knows, I don't think they're winning now with what they got, so they might try to make some more moves on top of moving Ingram. Can reasonably see them pulling the trigger on this and then moving CJ as well. (I know, fantasy land)
Then we have the Pistons, who I know aren't trading Cade, but I really want to see him in Celtics green, so lets pretend they land Dame, Horford, Dyson, Connaughton, and 8 other players to try to replace Cade, Duren, Thompson... ya. It's not adding up. Maybe for enough picks, and if they're thirsty enough to land Dame, but I don't see them giving up their young talent for so little in return when it doesn't really put them in a position to win. But hey, Dame = ticket sales :P
Also not buying the Hawks giving up Trey for just Dejounte Murray and Bobby Portis and Jaden Ivy, but who knows maybe 3 years from now we're talking about Jordan Walsh being a surprise bucket that just needed time to develop... and that 1st round pick might be in the next Cooper Flagg type lottery with how Milwaukee is playing this year (JK, it's early, and the pick is for 2027 anyway).
All in all, the only team I absolutely see doing this is the Celtics, if Boston could land Giannis, Cade, Herbert, Duren, while keeping Tatum, Brown, and Pritchard, I could see this actually happening. I'd really like the way Boston's payroll would be set up for the next few years, and I'd try to use Duren and Alvarado as trade bait to secure another solid piece or two before their contract is up after they prove how useful they can be in a winning system and they're demanding a decent mid-sized NBA contract that we wouldn't have cap space to pay while keeping everyone else. Cade being under contract at 13.9M a year for 6 years would make this team have space to be the most dangerously set-up team in history though... with Tatum, Giannis, Brown, Cade looking like the Eastern conference All-Stars and Duren, Herbert, Pritchard, Hauser, and Thompson rounding out the rotation looking like no slouches. They're projected to win 69 games... And they'd have room to grow with more moves the next season. If you can get everyone else drinking that KooL-AiD that they're not gunna win now unless they make some moves, and this first set of moves might put them in closer position to make some magic happen and land someone they think could be the next Paolo Banchero or Chet or something, well, I know it's far-fetched, but I'd love to see Brad Stevens convince the rest of the league to let something like this happen. Ya, the Celtics are getting the most in return, but they're giving up the most well-rounded talent in Jrue, Derrick White, Porzingis, and Queta, so it isn't THAT crazy that they'd land Giannis, Cade, Duren, Herbert if the stars aligned perfectly. I think Thompson is a bit over the top, but it's wishful thinking and the money worked, plus I already gave back Davonte Green and traded Queta just to try to make it almost fair.
