With only a 3% chance of happening, the Atlanta Hawks jumping up to pick #1 surprised everyone. Unfortunately for them, this draft doesn’t feature a Wemby or Edwards who reigns supreme over all others. There is Alex Sarr, however, who plays with a certain finesse that helps him drive powerfully to the rim, make passes unheard of by someone his size, and dominate on the defensive end. This selection would likely end Capela’s tenure with Atlanta and may put more of a dent into Okongwu’s development, but Sarr has too much potential to not be the pick at #1.

Clingan and Castle saw their stock rise after a dominant championship run
Sheppard and Dillingham struggled in their only game in March Madness causing their hype to die down
The Atlanta Hawks jumped up to the #1 overall pick, shocking the league
Knecht and Carter had standout performances at the combine
